ROLOS Evolution

What is ROLOS Evolution?

ROLOS Evolution is a new online ordering and account management system that will help you procure goods and services from Reliant Business Products. The name ROLOS comes from the first letters of Reliant's Online Ordering Solution. The word Evolution was added in order to promote and market a new era in office supply procurement services from Reliant Business Products.

Why the change from ROLOS4?

In early 2005 the programmers of ROLOS4 worried that the technology used to create it would not scale adequately to meet client demands. It was this concern that led Reliant to begin the development of ROLOS Evolution. The testing phase of ROLOS Evolution began in the Spring of 2007 and lasted for nine months. In December of 2007 we began releasing the product to our entire client base.

Why am I told to upgrade my web browser?

ROLOS Evolution is being developed with the latest tools and programming techniques available in today's marketplace. We are using new technology in order to bring you tools and features that will speed up and enhance the overall procurement process. One side effect to this advancement in Internet programming is the need for you to be running the latest and greatest web browser software.

In October 2006 Microsoft released version 7 of its web browser software, Internet Explorer. The Internet Explorer 7 web browser is designed by Microsoft to run on Windows XP and Windows Vista. If your computer does not have Windows XP or Windows Vista then we suggest you install a web browser called Firefox 2.

You can use ROLOS Evolution with older web browsers but you will not receive the optimal experience until you upgrade. There is zero cost to upgrading your web browser. Please consult your I.T. department before upgrading your web browser software.

What is going to happen with ROLOS4?

We plan to remove all access to ROLOS4 from our web site on April 1, 2008. For your convenience, we will redirect the current ROLOS4 login screen to ROLOS Evolution.

Learning Center

Quick Order
The Quick Order feature of ROLOS Evolution has been redesigned to take full advantage of today's technology. In ROLOS4 you had 20 order entry lines to input item numbers on. In ROLOS Evolution you start with one entry line and the page will dynamically add additional lines as needed (see image). In addition to having an unlimited number of order entry lines you will also have access to a wealth of product information without ever having to change screens.

Below is a list of new features on the Quick Order web page.

  1. Enter an unlimited number of products.
  2. View your actual price on the product before adding to the cart.
  3. View the unit of measure a product is sold by before adding to cart.
  4. View the items packaging information to help with order quantity.
  5. View the products description with a link to additional product information and photos.
  6. View better value and/or alternate products before adding to cart.
  7. Now excepts item codes with dashes, slashes, and spaces.
  8. Now excepts item codes without the manufacturer three letter prefix and allows you to select from a list of items.
  9. You control how the page functions with the Quick Order Settings feature.
  10. Easily remove unwanted products by selecting the red X icon.
